Good morning all you loved up people!! The sun has been shining gloriously in Wilshire today.. hope you werel lucky to get some sunshine in your face too!! And not only that - but it's our first creative step by step tutorial by Brides-Made. I'll let Lizi take over from here.. enjoy! "Hello to all you crafty brides-to-be! Welcome to our Elle Maverick DIY monthly special. This month we are showing you how to create these fun and quirky wedding invite lanyards for a festival themed wedding. The tutorial is super easy and is one of our favourite tutorials to have been made so far; so eye catching & sure to get your guests excited!! We have designed a template for you to download and use (above) - or for you budding designers.. feel free to design your very own. We really hope you like this tutorial as much as us and have lots of fun.. happy crafting! STEP ONE Print and cut out your lanyard design, we at Brides-‐Made have a designed template, which can be downloaded and edited to your requirements, or you can design your own. The design is an A6, which makes it a perfect size for your lanyard invites. The fonts we used are Bebas Neue ad Rosewood STD, which can be downloaded free. STEP TWO This step is optional, but we laminated our lanyards to give it a more professional appearance and to also protect your invite. You can pick up a cheap laminator at your local store and by placing the design inside an A4 laminated slip, place it through the laminator and wait until sealed. STEP THREE Using a ruler and sharpie, draw a line around the laminated slip leaving approximately 5mm gaps at the sides and 20mm gap along the top. This allows you to cut before your sharpie marks and enough room along the top to punch a hole. STEP FOUR Cut just before your markings so that your lanyard is sealed. STEP FIVE Carefully hole punch the top of your lanyard to allow a ribbon to be placed through. STEP SIX Place your lanyard clip through your ribbon of choice, attach your lanyard design and tie the ribbon with a bow. And there you have it.... how to create a festival themed lanyard invitation in six easy steps!! Thank you so much to Brides-Made for creating this fabulous tutorial - we have loved giving this a go ourselves! We would love to see our readers designs.. so if you make your very own, please send us a picture to maverickbrides@gmail.com.
Brides-Made will be back the last Friday of every month, so keep your eyes peeled for their next amazing tutorial! Hope you've all had a lovely weekend xxx
